Nottingham’s tram network and the Notts Outlaws have teamed up to mark the start of the 2017 NatWest T20 Blast season by offering cricket fans discount travel and the opportunity to win match tickets.
The Outlaws play their first home game on Friday 21 July when they take on local rivals Derbyshire Falcons and match and season ticket holders can avoid the traffic by using the tram’s specially priced £2 Event Ticket for return travel.
Families travelling to this summer’s matches Trent Bridge can also use the network’s popular £5 Group Ticket, which is available for unlimited tram travel for two adults and up to three children from 4pm on weekdays and all day at weekends.
Both the £2 Event Ticket and £5 Group Ticket are available to purchase from all tram stop ticket machines. Fans purchasing the £2 Event Ticket must ensure that they have their match ticket with them and are able to present it should they be asked by travel officers.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, NET’s Assistant Marketing Manager, said: “We’re delighted to team up with the Outlaws once again to offer cricket fans discount travel to what promises to be another exciting summer of cricket at Trent Bridge.
“Roads around the ground are likely to be increasingly busy on match days and the tram offers the perfect opportunity to beat the traffic with our Nottingham Station tram stop just a 15-minute walk from the ground.
“Tram users can also avoid the hassle and expense of parking near the ground by taking advantage of over 5,000 free parking spaces at NET’s 7 park & ride sites across Nottingham.”
With the excitement building for the start of the new season, Notts Outlaws have also provided NET with a pair of tickets to each of this season’s T20 games at Trent Bridge to give away to lucky tram customers.
