Special Timetable Announced for Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October

The GMB union have informed us that they intend to take strike action from 01:10 on Friday 2nd October 2009 until 05:25 on Sunday 4th October 2009, despite several meetings to try and resolve their concerns and avoid this action.

We are able to offer a reduced timetable on both of these days, concentrating on the core daytime service between Hucknall, Bulwell through Basford, Hyson Green to the City Centre. Trams will run generally between 06:00 and 18:30 on Friday and between 08:50 and 18:30 on Saturday, but at reduced levels. There will be no evening trams on either day.

A replacement bus service will operate between Phoenix Park and Friar Lane in the City Centre, operating limited stop and calling at Cinderhill (Bagnall Road /Headstocks PH) and Wilkinson Street only.

On Friday 2nd October

  • Buses will depart Phoenix Park at 6am and then every 15 minutes until 5.45pm
  • Buses will depart City Centre, Friar Lane at 6.30am and then every 15 minutes until 6.15pm

On Saturday 3rd October

  • Buses will depart Phoenix Park at 8.30am and then every 15 minutes until 6.15pm
  • Buses will depart City Centre, Friar Lane at 9.00am and then every 15 minutes until 6.45pm

If you are travelling to Goose Fair, you are strongly advised to travel by bus – with Nottingham City Transport providing frequent buses between the City Centre and Goose Fair – stopping on Mansfield Road, at Forest Gate. Further information about Goose Fair buses are available on the NCT website here.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this action by the GMB.
