Nottingham’s tram network will be running extra services in the early hours of January 1 to help customers make the most of the New Year celebrations across the city.
NET will be operating a full Saturday service on New Year’s Eve, December 31 with trams running from every 15 minutes until just after midnight. A special service will then run every 30 minutes along the full length of both lines until around 2am. You can download a full timetable here
Jamie Swift, Head of Marketing at NET, explained: “We’re once again running additional services to ensure our customers can make the most of the New Year’s Eve celebrations across Nottingham.
“With additional staff on duty across the network and trams running on both the Hucknall to Toton Lane and Phoenix Park to Clifton lines, our customers can be sure of a safe and reliable journey home after seeing in the New Year.”
Normal travel prices will also apply across the network with tickets and smartcards valid on all tram journeys, with no late-night premiums on fares.
Jamie added: “We’ll be running a full Sunday timetable on New Year’s Day, with some trams starting at 6am and running from every 10 mins, hopefully making life easier for NET customers who need to get to work, or shoppers who want to grab a bargain in the sales.”
Bank Holiday Monday (January 2) will also see a Sunday timetable in operation on the network, with trams returning to normal weekday service on Tuesday, January 3.
