Passengers on Nottingham’s tram network have given the thumbs up to a generous ticket offer that’s also providing a boost for the city centre during school holidays.

The Family Group Ticket offers a family of up to five, including two adults, a whole day of unlimited travel on the tram for just £5 and has proved a huge success during half-term and other breaks so far this year.

Over the Easter holiday, NET group ticket sales were up by over 40 per cent compared to the same period last year thanks to the offer, which will be reintroduced for the Jubilee bank holiday and half term.

Florian Le Loroux, Marketing Manager at NET, commented: “The ticket has certainly proved a hit with customers and the take up has been extremely encouraging.

“As well as being popular with families, it is providing a boost for businesses in Nottingham by making a day out in the city centre, with all its attractions and leisure facilities, an even more attractive proposition.”

The latest offer will run throughout half-term, from Saturday June 2 to Sunday June 10. Trams operating to a Sunday timetable on the Monday and Tuesday bank holidays. Remember this is a family ticket... all adults must be accompanied by their children!

The ‘five for £5’ offer complements NET’s Group Ticket, which provides great value throughout the year. It enables two adults and up to four children to travel all day for just £8.

“Thanks to our innovative range of group tickets, including our special holiday offers, the tram continues to provide a quick, convenient and cost-effective way to visit the city centre without worrying about traffic or parking,” Florian added.
