Kangaroo Becomes Robin Hood

Kangaroo Citycards are set to be replaced by a new look Robin Hood card, which will be available to use on the tram network, along with a variety of Nottingham’s other transport systems.

Starting from Monday, April 25, renewing Kangaroo Citycard holders will instead be given a Robin Hood card. Current Kangaroo Citycard holders will not need to exchange their card until they are next due to renew.

The Robin Hood Cards will maintain the same benefits and travel options as the Kangaroo Citycard and can be used on the network by touching on at a tram strop validator before boarding.

For first time purchasers, the cards will be available to purchase at the Travel Centre in the Broadmarsh shopping centre and at over 70 on-street ticket machines across Nottingham.

Kangaroo day tickets will also be rebranded into the Robin Hood scheme from April 24, and will also be available to use in the same way as before.

DAY TICKETS

Paper day tickets currently purchased on-bus, at stop or at-station, will also changing their name from Kangaroo to Robin Hood. From April 25, 2016, the tickets will have the Robin Hood logo on it. There are no changes to prices or the way these tickets are purchased or used, just a new name.

 

THE ROBIN HOOD SEASON CARDS

The Robin Hood card family has grown and now includes season tickets for adults, under 18’s and students. New cards are being added to the Robin Hood family in the near future, keep a look out for more information and to find out about our new season cards, visit here.

Adult, Under 18 and Student Season cards will be available for 1, 3, 6 or 12 month season card, for unlimited travel on bus, tram or train within the Robin Hood network.

 

PAY AS YOU GO

If a season ticket isn’t for you, maybe the Robin Hood pay-as-you-go card would be a better fit. This card will work out the best fare for one day’s travel. Robin Hood pay-as-you-go cards are available from any of the 70 on-street ticket machines, just follow the on-screen instructions and select the amount of money you wish to put onto your card.

The Robin Hood pay-as-you-go card is valid on all Nottingham City Transport, trentbarton, NET tram, Nottingham Community Transport and Kinch buses in the Robin Hood Network area. It is not currently valid on Yourbus, Stagecoach, AOT, Marshalls and rail services. For more details, please click here.
