Nottingham’s tram network is celebrating its links to an upcoming play in the city by offering customers the chance to win tickets.
One of Stephen Lowe’s most popular plays, ‘Touched’ will star Vicky McClure when it opens as at the Nottingham Playhouse on Friday 17 February and will run until Saturday 4 March.
With two of the city’s trams name after Stephen and Vicky, the Playhouse has kindly donated a pair of tickets for NET to give away.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, NET’s Assistant Marketing Manager, said: “Stephen and Vicky are two of Nottingham’s most gifted creative and dramatic talents, and we’re very proud to have trams named after them.
“We’re very excited for what will be a great combination of their talents and we hope the competition can create an extra buzz for what promises to be a fantastic production.”
As well as the chance to win tickets, customers will also be able to claim discounted return tram travel to the play with NET’s specially priced £2 Event Ticket.
Stephanie added: “With discounted tickets and our Royal Centre tram stop just a short walk away from Nottingham Playhouse, our network offers the perfect way to travel for those going to the play over the next few weeks. Customers might even be lucky enough to travel on Stephen or Vicky’s tram!”
Stephanie Sirr, Chief Executive of Nottingham Playhouse said: “It’s not every actress that can travel to rehearsals on her own personally-named tram as Vicky has been doing! We hope everyone gets the chance to see the show – a proper Nottingham story.”
