‘FIVE FOR £5’ RE-LAUNCHED FOR SUMMER FUN IN NOTTINGHAM

18 Jul 2012

A special tram ticket is being re-launched this weekend to help families make the most of city centre attractions over the school holidays.

The popular ‘Five for £5’ family ticket enables five people, including up to two adults, a day of unlimited travel on the tram for just £5. Visitors to Nottingham can also take advantage of around 3,000 free park and ride places across the city.

Florian Le Loroux, Marketing Manager at NET, explained: “Over the next six weeks there’s plenty going on in and around the city centre, making for a fantastic day out for all the family.

“By taking advantage of the offer they can enjoy a quick and convenient journey to many events and attractions without the hassle of being stuck in traffic or finding a parking space.

“They’ll also save a bit of money they can then use for treats such as an ice cream on the city’s new beach!”

Through the holidays Old Market Square will be covered in sand and home to a wide range of beach-themed activities as part of the E.ON sponsored Nottingham Riviera celebrations, organised by the City Council.

In August there will also be Riverside and Caribbean festivals in the city as well as a host of arts and sports activities.

“Taking advantage of the tram offer really is an easy and cost effective way of enjoying all the summer fun,” added Florian.
