Nottingham’s tram network is all set to help thousands of people sample the atmosphere at a unique event featuring arts and culture from around the world.

Over three nights the city centre will be ablaze with colour as the Old Market Square is transformed by the Night of Festivals celebrations.

With so many people expected to join in the fun on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (June 21 to June 23) visitors are being urged to leave their cars at home and take the tram into the heart of the action.

Florian Le Loroux, Marketing Manager at NET, explained: “There’s so much going on, we expect the area around Old Market Square to be very busy.

“By taking the tram, visitors can avoid any traffic headaches and don’t need to worry about parking. And with trams running until around midnight to Phoenix Park, Hucknall, and our other park and ride sites, it’s easy to get home after the festivities have drawn to a close.”

The free events include a colourful and entertaining mix of a carnival, installations, street art and live music. Further information is available by visiting www.nightoffestivals.com.
