Children travelling by tram into Nottingham on Easter Monday are in for a sweet treat thanks to NET staff.
As well as handing out the chocolates at city centre stops in the afternoon, through the morning NET staff will be giving away the seasonal sweets at five park and ride sites that between them offer 3,000 free parking spaces for tram travellers.
Florian Le Loroux, NET Marketing Manager: “We hope it will add a little fun for those making a family trip into Nottingham on Easter Monday.
“The treats will help to keep the children happy while parents will welcome the fact that they don’t have to worry about the hassle and cost of car parking.”
The chocolates are an additional treat for families who can also take advantage of cut-price travel over the holiday weekend thanks to a special Family Group Ticket. The ticket offers a family of up to five, including two adults, a whole day of unlimited travel on the tram network for just £5.
Available until April 15, it can be bought from conductors on board the tram whilst free parking can be found in Hucknall, Moor Bridge, Phoenix Park, Wilkinson Street and The Forest.
NET has also announced service adjustments over the Easter weekend. A Sunday service will be operated on Good Friday, (6 April) and again on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. A normal Saturday service will run on 7 April.
