It’s a sure sign of summer when the deck chairs, buckets and spades return to Old Market Square - and the city’s tram network is once again poised to help visitors make the most of the ever-popular Nottingham Beach.
Getting to the heart of the fun couldn’t be easier thanks to frequent tram services, great value ticket offers, and convenient stop just a few steps away from the seaside attractions.
Through the school holidays, from Thursday, July 25, through to Friday, August 30, two adults and up to three children – or just two adults - can enjoy a day of unlimited tram travel for just a fiver.
Usually only available at weekends, the Group Ticket allows families to make the most of Nottingham’s unique landlocked beach as well as the city’s many other attractions.
Stephanie Moss Pearce, NET Marketing Manager, explained: “Nottingham Beach is always an incredibly popular attraction for our customers, and when the schools break up, we expect many families and groups will want to take a trip to the beach.”
“By taking the tram, which stops right next to the sands, visitors can also take advantage of our free park and ride facilities, leaving visitors with a little more cash to spend on an ice cream or two!”
The beach opens this Saturday (July 13), ahead of the schools breaking up, and features live music from local bands and artists, movie nights, beach volleyball tournaments and much, much more.
