06 January 2020

Similarly to most public transport operators, NET reviews its fares annually.

From 6 January 2020, a number of our cash fares have increased. This is the second increase in cash fares over five years, and includes modest increases that bring NET fares into line with other public transport operators in Nottingham.

As part of the annual review, we’re making our popular £1 ‘short hop’ tickets available across the entire network.

NET Marketing Manager, Rebekah Smith, explained: “The tram still offers fantastic value and these slight increases bring us into line with other transport operators in the city.

“By switching to paying for travel using our NETGO! mobile app rather than at the tram stop, customers can still enjoy savings on their ticket, while our new short hop zones offer great value for money.

“For regular customers our season tickets offer the most cost-effective way to travel by tram, and our January deals make them an even more attractive proposition.”

Regular customers can bag a bargain in our January sale by purchasing a cut-price season ticket, saving up to £50.

If purchased in January, an annual pass will cost just £475 for adults, compared to £525 at other times. Between January 1 and 31, a three-month adult pass is priced at £145 – a saving of £15 – and there’s also £5 off a one-month adult pass, which normally costs £55.
