Nottingham Express Transit (NET) - Bus service to replace trams during routine track maintenance

Anyone planning to travel by tram into Nottingham from the Toton Lane terminus on Sunday (November 28) is being urged to use alternative park and ride sites due to a road closure on a route into the city centre.

Emergency sewer repairs by Severn Trent on Lenton Lane will see a temporary suspension in tram services between the Cator Lane and Meadows Way West stops from 10am.

trentbarton and Nottingham City Transport buses will be accepting tram tickets on services covering this section of the network, providing an alternative means of public transport into the city centre.

The remainder of the network will be operating to the usual Sunday timetable although all customers are being urged to plan ahead and allow a little extra time for their journey. Steve Leyland, Head of Customer Experience at NET, commented:

“We would like to apologise in advance for this temporary interruption to services due to circumstances beyond our control, but we are making every effort to minimise inconvenience for our customers.

“Anyone travelling to the city centre from outside Nottingham can take advantage of the hundreds of spaces available at Clifton South, Phoenix Park and our other park and ride sites for a swift, convenient journey into the city centre.”

A full timetable across the network is expected to resume from the start of services on Monday, November 29.
