Nottingham Express Transit (NET) will be conducting planned track maintenance work this May, affecting all stops between The Forest and Old Market Square for one week.
The work, which is required to replace a section of track near to the Nottingham Trent University tram stop, will take place from Sunday 24 May and is due to finish on Sunday 31 May. Normal service is expected to resume on Monday 1 June.
During this time, all stops along the affected route will be closed. To avoid disruption, a dedicated tram replacement bus service will operate between the The Forest Park & Ride and Old Market Square.
Joanne Smedley, head of service delivery at NET, said: “Ongoing maintenance work is part of our regular operations here at NET, helping us to ensure that our network can remain as safe and reliable as possible for the thousands of people that use it. Minimising disruption is key, and with our rail replacement bus service, we hope to reduce the impact on travellers who often use the stops that will be closed during this time. Anyone who is concerned and wants to find out more can visit our dedicated web page on the NET website. Here they can contact us through our live chat function or WhatsApp us on 0115 824 6060 if they have any questions.
“We’d like to thank our customers and the wider public for their cooperation as we complete this essential maintenance work to keep our trams running safely.”
