Trentbarton is changing the way mango works due to a replacement of their ticket machines.

Therefore, NET customers can no longer buy a mango card or top up an existing card at tram stops. Existing cardholders will still be able to use their mango card on the tram until 29 March 2020.

This has been extended from the previous deadline of 29 December 2019 to enable customers to spend their remaining balances.

If you use mango for your tram journeys you can switch to a pay-as-you-go Robin Hood card to receive similar discounts.

You will still be able to use your mango card as normal on all trentbarton buses.

There are also other ways to get discounted NET tram travel. Head over to our tickets page for more information about our products and tickets.

Our Customer Service team is always happy to help. You can call them on 0115 824 6060, pop into the NET Travel Centre in King Street, or email us.

Robin Hood Pay-as-you-Go

Robin Hood Pay-as-you-Go is a multi-operator card that acts as an electronic purse – deducting travel as you use it. It’s valid on NET tram services, as well as bus services run by Nottingham City Transport (NCT), trentbarton, Linkbus, CT4N and other bus services in the Greater Nottingham area.

For more information on Robin Hood PAYG cards, visit their website, where you can find more information on using your card, answers to FAQs, and details on where you can use it.

Please note: When using a Robin Hood Card you only need to tap on at the validator – you do not need to tap off.

Short hops

From 6 January 2020 we will be introducing seven new short hop zones – in addition to the existing zones in the city centre and Clifton – available to all customers.

You can travel for £1 between any of the stops within each zone by purchasing a ticket at the tram stop ticket machines.
