Penalty Fares

You must purchase a ticket before boarding the tram
If you travel without a valid ticket, pass or smartcard or have failed to complete your NET GO! ticket purchase before boarding the tram, you will be issued with a £70 Penalty Fare Notice.

Our staff are out on the network every day performing regular ticket checks. Should you be checked, you will be asked to show a valid ticket or pass either on board or at a stop when you get off the tram - this is known as a compulsory ticket area.

If you are issued a Penalty Fare Notice you must pay this within 22 days. As part of the process,  you will be asked to provide your name and address. If this is not provided you may be liable for a £1000 fine.

Open 7 days a week, our sites are cleaned daily and patrolled by staff as well as monitored by CCTV. Park Mark approval means those sites have met the national standard for UK car parks that have low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.

There are disabled and parent and child spaces close by and cycle hubs and electric vehicle charging points at some sites.
