Affecting services in both directions

Services affected between 21:00 and the end of service

We will be carrying out emergency repair works on one of our overhead line poles, which was previously damaged in a road traffic collision. The work will take place from approx. 10 pm on Wednesday, 9th July, and continue overnight until Thursday, 10th July, with services expected to resume as normal from 6 am.

The overhead line pole is located near the Queens Walk tram stop and will therefore affect Clifton South and Phoenix Park services from approximately. 21:00 onwards. see below for further details.

Last tram services

The last tram to depart Nottingham Station towards Clifton South is at 21:27

The last tram to depart Clifton South towards Nottingham Station is at 21:53

From 21:41, trams which would normally depart Nottingham Station towards Clifton South will continue on the Toton Lane line, terminating at Beeston Centre. These trams will continue on the Toton Lane line, so we can still utilise these tram services to support customers who are travelling as far as Beeston centre. 

During the work, the Hucknall and Toton lane services will operate as normal, with the additional tram services terminating at Beeston Centre.

Replacement bus Information

We will have a dedicated tram replacement bus service operating every 15 minutes from 21:00 until the end of service. Most of the replacement bus stops are near our tram stops, using the NCT Navy line bus stops.

The first replacement bus service departing from Nottingham Station (Stop S7 on Carrington Street) will be at 21:00

The first replacement bus service departing from Clifton South Park & Ride towards Nottingham Station will be at 21:00

The last full bus service will depart at 00:45 from both Nottingham Station and Clifton South Park & Ride.

Please note: due to a road closure along Robin Hood Way, the replacement bus will not be able to service the following stops:

  • Queens Walk
  • Meadows Embankment
  • Wilford Village

Road closures and information for residents

The work will commence at approx. 22:15, once all of the trams heading towards Phoenix Park have cleared the lines between Nottingham Station and Clifton South. We anticipate there may be some noise affecting residents nearest to the tram lines and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

A section of Robin Hood Way will remain closed whilst the work is being carried out. There will still be access to Launder Street and Osier Road.
