NET announces 2026 charity of the year, championing importance of mental health in the workplace.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has put mental health awareness in the driving seat after naming Nottinghamshire Mind as its 2026 charity of the year.
As the works on the A52 at Bardills near completion, one lane in each direction will be closed this weekend to make way for the installation of new kerbing.
Paul Harris, Programme Director at NET Phase Two construction contractor, Taylor Woodrow Alstom, explained: “We have timed this work carefully so that it takes place over a weekend during the summer holiday, when there is usually less traffic on this important route into the city.
“However, we would urge motorists to allow extra time for their journey while this essential work is carried out, particularly as there will also be lane closures on University Boulevard over the weekend.”
The lanes at Bardills will be closed from around 8.00pm on Friday, August 15, and are set to reopen by 5.00am on Monday, August 18.
