Tram fare dodgers to experience higher penalty fares from 1 May.
From 1 May 2026, tram fare dodgers run the risk of facing serious financial consequences as Nottingham Express Transit (NET) updates its Penalty Fare Policy.
NET are proud to be supporting the newly launched Green Rewards scheme which awards points to Nottingham residents for activities that reduce their carbon footprint.
And points mean prizes! NET, along with many other local businesses, are offering incentives and rewards for everyone who plays their part in helping Nottingham meet its ambitious target to be carbon neutral by 2028.
The Green Rewards scheme is a joint initiative between the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Councils and the Universities in Nottingham to help local people save money and reduce the city's carbon footprint at the same time. As a sustainable transport provider powered by 100% green renewable energy, NET is proud of our role in helping Nottingham' reach carbon neutrality and supporting our customers to be able to do their bit to help too.
We are giving a NET bamboo reusable travel mug and a packet of seeds to plant at home to the first fifty people to sign up.
To be in with a chance to win, simply register on the Green Rewards scheme here or download the Green Rewards app on iOS and Android. Search for ‘Notts; Green Rewards’ in your device’s app store.
