Essential one-week tram maintenance planned this May.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) will be conducting planned track maintenance work this May, affecting all stops between The Forest and Old Market Square for one week.
NET is giving Nottingham students one last chance to snap up a special discount for unlimited tram travel throughout the 2022-23 academic year – for one last week until midnight on Sunday 23rd October, the cost of the Student Academic pass is reduced to £225, working out at less than 70p per day.
The discount deal has been part of a big push during the Freshers period to encourage new students to travel around Nottingham by tram. The ‘Get going with NETGO!’ campaign included events, special promotions, digital adverts and social media activity and aimed to show the City’s newest residents that the tram isn’t just iconic but is also the quickest, safest and most affordable way to get around the city.
It has already been the most successful NET student campaign to date and resulted in record number of passes sold and social media engagement. And now for one last week, students can purchase a Student Academic pass for £225, a £50 discount, before the price goes back up to £275 from midnight on the 23rd October.
NET Head of Marketing Alison Sweeney said: “It’s been a pleasure to join Freshers events throughout Nottingham and to welcome new students from all over the world to our great City. The tram is one of the quickest, safest and most affordable ways to get the most out of what Nottingham has to offer and we are pleased that so many students have already snapped up this great deal. “With just one week left to secure tram travel from just 70p per day, the discounted £225 season ticket is something that no student should miss out on.”
