NET outlines ticket deals, extra trams and updated park-and-ride arrangements as Goose Fair returns to Nottingham for first time in 2 years

As Nottingham prepares for the iconic Goose Fair to return to the City for the first time in two years, NET has outlined some of the ticket deals, extra services and updated park-and-ride arrangements that will be in place across the tram network to help residents and visitors enjoy ‘all the fun of the fair’.

After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, Goose Fair will return to the Forest Recreation Ground this week and will run for an extended ten-day period from Friday 30 September to Sunday 9 October. NET are putting a range of measures in place to support the fair’s triumphant return to the city including:

The best way to reach Goose Fair with group tickets offering great value for families

• The tram offers the easiest way to reach Goose Fair with The Forest tram stop dropping visitors right by the entrance to Forest Recreation Ground

• Along with convenient travel, families can also take advantage of NET’s group ticket - after 4pm on weekdays or all weekend, the group ticket offers unlimited travel for 2 adults and up to 3 U19s for just £8

Forest Car Park closed but other park-and-ride sites available

• To allow rides and stalls to be set up on Forest Recreation Ground, the Forest Car Park will remain closed until 6am on Thursday 13^th October at 6am

• However, customers can still make use of 6 other park and ride sites on the tram network, offering convenient parking and then car-free travel into the Goose Fair event. Further details about the tram’s park-and-ride sites are available at net/park-and-ride

Additional trams to run at peak times

NET will have additional trams on the network between Bulwell and Beeston to carry more people to and from the fair at peak times. The updated timetable over the Goose Fair period will see:

• Thursday 29^th September: Normal timetable in operation

• Friday 30^th September-Saturday 1^st October: trams every 7-10 minutes from 06:00-22:00, then every 15 minutes from 22:00-End of service

• Sunday 2^nd October: trams every 7-10 minutes from 06:00-20:00 then every 15 minutes from 20:00-End of service

• Monday 3^rd-Wednesday 5^th October: trams every 7-10 minutes from 07:00-21:00, then every 15 minutes between 06:00-07:00 and 21:00-End of service

• Thursday 6^th-Saturday 8^th October: - trams every 7-10 minutes from 06:00-22:00, then every 15 minutes from 22:00-End of service

• Sunday 9^th October: Normal timetable in operation
