Vicky McClure dedicates named tram to Our Dementia Choir.
Nottingham-born BAFTA award-winning actress Vicky McClure, has honoured Our Dementia Choir by dedicating her named Nottingham Express Transit(NET) tram to the cause.
A small annual fare increase which was due to be introduced in 2020 but was postponed for 12 months due to the COVID pandemic will now take affect from 30 August 2021.
Day tickets will increase by between 10p and 20p while weekly tickets will rise by 50p. The changes will apply to day and weekly tickets purchased via ticket machines and the NETGO! app and will also affect Robin Hood Pay As You Go.
Andrew Conroy, chief operating officer of Tramlink, said: “Like all public transport operators we need to review ticket prices every year to take into account inflation and other cost increases. We made a decision last year to delay an annual fare increase to reflect the ongoing impact of the Covid pandemic. These small increases ensure NET fares continue to offer people good value for money as the tram helps keep Nottingham moving.”
