NET announces 2026 charity of the year, championing importance of mental health in the workplace.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has put mental health awareness in the driving seat after naming Nottinghamshire Mind as its 2026 charity of the year.
In response to the most recent government coronavirus restrictions, Nottingham’s tram network is adjusting its timetable to provide a reliable and robust service that reflects current levels of demand.
Mike Mabey, NET Head of Operations, explained: “Since the tighter restrictions were introduced after Christmas we’ve again seen customer numbers fall to a fraction of pre-pandemic levels.
“At the same time, like many other organisations across the city, we have an increased number of employees correctly following NHS and government guidance on self-isolation.
The new, temporary timetable will see a modest reduction in the number of services, with trams every 10 minutes between 6.00am and 7.00pm and every 15 minutes from 7.00pm to 11.00pm.
Throughout the pandemic, NET has reacted quickly to government guidance and introduced a range of measures to help prevent the spread of the virus, including an enhanced cleaning process that pays particular attention to frequently touched surfaces such as buttons and handrails and signage to assist social distancing.
“Clearly the safety of our customers and employees remains our overriding priority, with all our Covid-19 protection measures under constant review,” Mike added.
